Going to have company for the weekend and will be grilling some traditional brats and burgers. Need to enjoy but be mindful that the eating is just a side note to share with company - not the center of the evening!

So, I find that my stick-to-it-tiveness has left the building and as I flit from diet to diet and fitness regime to fitness regime I am chronically stuck. I watch all these success stories on tv etc and find myself weighing in and losing ground or not making any progress. I am clearly frustrated but I am going to really try to blog and detail a journey whatever that may look like when I am done. So today I wake up to a new idea after listening to some blogs. Instead of recording all the failures of the day I am going to record what I am doing right for myself.
The scale can be such a downer especially after watching calories, giving up favorite foods and exercising like a mad woman. Today I am going to try to embrace a different approach.

So, on the diet bandwagon a team mate and I decided to stop drinking for April to wrap up our diet challenge. This has been two fold for me. I think forgetting about the alcohol calories is a great thing. Also, after drinking I tend to loosen up and invade the kitchen looking for snacky things to munch on with my beverage.
In the end I didn't realize how many times I was reaching for a glass of alcoholic beverage so I have also looked at abstinence in a different way. While out…Continue
