Or: a post in which I rant about my rude builder
My day started with rain. It prevented me from going on my run this morning. This made me cranky, since I wasn't looking forward to running at the gym in the afternoon (and paying for it).
Then, while driving on the way to work (to go to a training), my builder called about the home inspection we had done on the house. He ranted and raved at me about how the inspection was inaccurate and how an inspection wasn't even in the contract and how he WAS NOT going to fix anything. I very calmly told him to call my husband. He kept talking. I said, "You are going to have to call my husband," and I hung up. I have to deal with him tomorrow and if he is a jerk, I'm calling him out on it. I told my husband how the builder treated me and my husband called him out on it and the builder said, "I just told her I was going to call you." ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?! He lied to my husband! UGH.
So yeah, the walk through tomorrow is going to be a tea party. HA. I asked a friend of mine to go with me (I told her, if nothing else, she was going to be my witness if the builder was rude!).
On to the training: It was done by some workers from the state dept of education, so you can imagine how much fun and how exciting it was. And interactive. (Notice the sarcasm in my typing here.)
But I DID go running today and, factoring out my 5 min walk, I ran nearly an 8 min/mile!! I was so excited!!
Here's the meal plan for today:
B: chobani plain 0% with a crystal light pure packet
L: 2 slices of a small pizza, 1 breadstick, 1 cinnastick, salad w/ranch dressing; diet mt dew
D: chicken meatball spaghetti (one more night of these leftovers left)
Hope everyone had a better day!
Comment by Cindy on June 22, 2012 at 12:17am You've been through some crap in the past few days. A rude neighbor, broken finger, rude builder (in this housing market!! how dare he?!), crap school training.........You've held up like a champ if you ask me. I would have probably been thrown in jail by now between the neighbor and the builder. I hope your run eased some of the stress. Excellent pace too!
Enjoy your tea party tomorrow! ;)
Comment by Jill Mace on June 22, 2012 at 3:25am Like Cindy said- what a bad few days you have had! I am sorry! I hate rude people. It is just as easy to be nice!!! Good luck today!
I'd put him off on the hubs, too. Let men deal with men--they're on a more even playing field.
Comment by Tanie on June 22, 2012 at 9:15am Congrats on your 8 min. mile! Sorry about your boring workshop- I hate those!
Comment by Brandy on June 22, 2012 at 9:35am Keem--EXACTLY! LOL Actually, hubby had already told the builder to call HIM if there were ever any problems, but apparently this guy can't follow directions. :)
