No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Once again, time has gotten away from me! February is half gone and the last time I posted was after the Super Bowl!?! A lot has happened! ( ok, that may be a matter of perspective, but we spent a good chunk of 3 days cleaning out the toy room/office: aka: the PIT. The toy kitchen has gone to the attic, until Lil Man is out of the crib. Then it can go to his room. I just cannot believe how much STUFF 2 little boys have amassed! The curse of being in a big family and being the only grandkids for my parents. Not to mention, my mom kept our cool toys ( the GOOD Fisher Price stuff. They don't get my Barbies!) and the toy kitchen is what they built for me when I was 2.
Basically, we sorted and tossed. As soon as we had stuff orderly, there was a short, chubby, diaper-clad boy going and undoing our doing. lol At least there is room to move about and they can get to what they have. ( I'm telling you, the Ikea spice racks as bookracks are GREAT! I'll be adding them to the bedrooms next.)
The bedrooms were also cleaned and purged. I think I had an early bite form the Spring Cleaning Bug. Puzzle pieces were reunited with their frames and boxes. Legos were sorted and put away. I'm trying to keep the toys in the toy room. 99.99% are. The rest are Hot Wheels that I find in all kinds of places. Even MY bed!
I noticed in the 'NewYear's Get Fit Excercise and Diet' collection, Aldi's had ellipitcal trainers. " Oooooooo" says me. Maybe the price will come down. I didn't think $249 was incredibly hateful, but that's still a decent chunk of change. Well. My dreams came true. Marked down to $199. Lots of assembly required, but 2 beers later ( yeah. it was one of THOSE nights!) I have an elliptical! Granted, it's not as 'nice' as the one at the firehouse, but that one is a gym model and is ginormous.
Why does 45 minutes on one of those fly by and 45 on a treadmill is an eternity and a half?
Still plugging along. No where near where I want to be. The " Oh. I'll have this one bite/piece/ PACKAGE :( " are catching up. Alcohol is going bye-bye for Lent. ( Last night I did partake in a few, but that was IT. No more until Easter!) Tonight will be Skinny taste Scallops and Pasta for me. Pasta for the rug rats. With the baby being allergic to eggs and nuts, I think I'll hold off on the shellfish for him.
Fishy Fridays are back! The cats couldn't be happier! I had to work Ash Wednesday, also a fish day, so I packed some tuna salad. Those two KNOW what a tuna can is! They get the juice, divided to prevent any fighting or bowl snatching. It's fun to watch them sit around and wash their faces about 1000000 times. Every molecule of tuna juice must be accounted for.
Okay, then. I think that pretty much catches everything up. I've got tons of food pictures on my phone! lol Just not enough hours in the day sometimes!
