No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
I haven't blogged in forever, which usually means I am slacking or gaining or completely off track. However, this time I am THRILLED to report that I have been rocking it. I signed up for www.myfitnesspal.com which is an online calorie counter/food journal. I signed up with a friend of mine, so we could view each other's food journals, hoping that would make us more accountable. I still decided to count my WW points as well, since that is the program that has always worked for me...well, when I follow it. So I made a committment, and hit the ground running. I made a pact with my husband and we started getting up in the morning and doing a Jillian Michaels' workout or Biggest Loser DVD. I also started going cardio in the afternoon or evening..not every day, but many days. I had my cheat meals, but stayed pretty true to plan most days. Since that time, I have lost about 10 lbs, and more inches. My clothes are really loose, my legs and arms look so toned, and I am just so much happier. I am still about 3 lbs over my official WW goal weight, and about 8 lbs from my prepregnancy weight. I'll get there. I am on a roll. Before this late winter snow/cold weather that hit Nebraska last week, I was also back to my running. I played with the idea of training for another half-marathon, but decided to just stick with running for pleasure. I like that I can pick whatever workout I feel like, and not just being forced to run b/c it is a "training day." I would like to do a half-marathon again someday, but now just isn't the time. Maybe when my kids are a bit older and I don't have to hire a babysitter to run.
Anyway, that is what I have been up to. On a personal front, we are in the planning stages of building a new home...hoping to break ground by August. We have been working on finalizing the floor plan. So that is really exciting. Work is going well, and I am down to less than 35 working days until summer. The boys have been healthy, and overall life is just awesome! I am hoping to start catching up with all of your blogs. I miss this group!
