Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Honestly, I don't know. I mean I really didn't do horribly with the eating but I only made it to the gym once. I blame it on my early morning (3 and 4am ) wakeups. I wake up and start thinking about work shit and then just grab my laptop and get to work until it's just almost time to get up and then I fall back to sleep for about 20 minutes and.....it's just bad. Despite my 3:17am wake up this morning I had every intention of staying at school to finish start grading a pile of work. But some math guy was droning on and on and on in the room across the hall and I couldn't bear it so I left work. There were demonstrations for something in the city so many roads were closed off and so my normal 20 minute afternoon ride home took well over an hour. I came in, ate a bagel, and knocked out until almost 10pm. My husband made an incredibly easy, yummy and healthy dinner. He CAN get creative! He took some milanesa chicken (basically chicken breasts that have been pounded sort of thin) and the smeared them with plain yogurt mixed with a uniquely flavored, slightly spicy sauce and then dipped lightly in bread crumbs. Then he chopped up veggies, spiced them and baked them all together. DELICIOUS and very moist!

My body has been telling me it wants to go to the gym but I have had unbelievably low energy. I'm hoping next week will be better. Wtih all the talk of planning meals, etc. I have committed to grocery shopping tomorrow and planning/cooking on Sunday, even if it's just for a few days. I need to get it together. No gains but no losses. So, not terrible worried and angry but just need the rest O.F.F.!!

I was going to go for 5 lbs in one month rather than 15lbs in 9 weeks. FIVE lbs seems very doable. I need to come up with some plan (and probably something slightly different) to get back into action!

Super happy Friday, everyone!

I sometimes have the middle of the night wakings, too.

I understand the frustration with weight loss.  I have been great about running, not so great about my food choices.  I need to somehow get both in order at the same time!  Hopefully this week, if you can get some extra sleep over the weekend, you'll be able to go to the gym and have some energy.

I am with you on weight loss frustration. I am there right now. Like Brandy I struggle with food. I am working on my emotional well being now as I realize it is crucial if I want to succeed in this weight loss thing. It takes work and I know that I have to just hunker down. We can do it. We both just need to get through the stressful period we both seem to be going through.

I am struggling with the food too.  I have planned for the upcoming week and am hoping it makes a difference for me!  It is hard work and tiresome- but we can do it and we need to do it!!  We are worth it!!!!

Have you thought about using a Tylenol PM (or whichever pain reliever you use), I used to do half of one in the evenings when I have trouble sleeping at it always helped.

I'm with you though, set some goals, come on here. Be accountable with us! ;-)
