No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Not to be overly positive, but I've had an AWESOME Monday! Those don't happen too often, so I'm super excited about it. I woke up at 5:30 and was worried that I would have to skip my run due to rain, but it was just a bit humid out. It was a great run, even though it was a little dark. And hubby was so sweet--he surprised me by catching up with me on his bike so that I wouldn't get kidnapped :)
Once I got to work, we had a dept meeting where a few of us finally spoke up and took charge of some issues we've been having in our dept. It was nice to confront and say what needed to be said in a professional way and have our voices heard. Then it was teaching all the way until the end of the day. My planning hour is first period so I don't have a break ALL DAY LONG. But my kiddos are so wonderful and respectful and good that I am having to pinch myself right now because of my good luck. Let's hope it stays that way!!
I'm sitting on the couch catching up with my online community now, then I will make dinner and relax until bed. Can't believe I was dreading today. I'm just in awe of how well it went.
Here's the meal plan:
B: vanilla low-fat yogurt with 1 serving granola
Snack: 100 cal pack of natural almonds
L: 1/2 grilled chicken breast; 1 serving baked tostitos with salsa; coconut yogurt
Snack: 1 serving pretzel crisps
D: taco night: 2 crunchy beef tacos with lettuce, tomato, cheese; 1 serving mexican rice; 1 serving fat free refried beans
Dessert: 1 bowl cut up watermelon chunks
I love Mexican food, and tonight I'm making it at home so that I can keep it low points. Have a good day everyone!!
Oh, here's the painting I made yesterday, per Keem's request. It's not the best one I've ever painted, but it will work for the fall season. I have a space on my wall for paintings that I change out for each season/holiday. So far I've only painted one for 4th of July, this one, and one for Valentine's Day.
