Weight Watchers Again - For good this time!

I started back on Weight Watchers this month after my doctor said if I don't I will need gastric bypass next year. What a huge shock! I couldn't believe it. But then I realized she was right after I gained over 15 pounds since last year's appointment. Since coming back I have lost 6 pounds but it has been hard. I really need to count everything, weigh everything and do it as I eat it and to plan ahead. The weekends are the hardest since I want to cook to make my husband and son happy then I want to eat what I make. It seems like everything I eat makes me retain water. My feet get huge and watery. I'm looking for any ideas of how to get the water down and any ideas of how to stay on plan on the weekends. Wish me luck!

For low sodium snacks i usually have fresh or dried fruit and veggies. As for the water, i like to add lemon or add a crystal light (0mg sodium), if you don't mind the aspartame. Good luck!

Hi there! Try to alter the recipes your husband and son like to fit in the plan, you can lighten up most things with some substitutions. I drink tons (124 oz +) of water thanks to Crystal Light, that prevents me from retaining too much water, try reducing your salt, slowly but surely you will need it less. I did this when I was pregnant and never went back to adding more salt. Good luck to you!

G'luck! Congrats on your 6 lbs lost, it'll get easier! And I agree w/the rest, try substitutions. I also have started to add lots of chopped veggies to e/recipe. They're so small my hubby doesn't realize he's eating them. He's like a kid when it comes to eating anything green.
