No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Wake me up when September ends... Wait, what? How is it already October? Is it just me or are weeks flying by?
I haven't been feeling great these past days, fortunately it was nothing serious and I'm feeling much better now. I still have a sore throat that will take a couple of days to heal, but other than that everything's back to normal :)
This weekend was still fun, though! I had to work and it was somehow stressful, but my roommate had some French friends over for the weekend and I managed to join them in the evenings, which has meant both little sleep and no time for meal planning... Saturday I gave in and went with comfort food for dinner- baguette with aubergine, bell pepper, mozarella and pesto, yum! It felt more like cheating than a treat, but it was just what I needed. I'm not sure if I should feel bad about it but I won't apologize to myself for it, lol.
And then yesterday it was Oktoberfest time again, it wasn't as crowded as usual and I was happy to not have to sit at home while they were having fun... Of course that meant my food choices were also restricted, so I went with the flow and had a (small) serving of fries, and then stole some bread from my roommate... Oops! To top it off, we also had Kinder chocolate eggs, and earlier in the morning I had found leftover cake from Friday in the fridge at work, and then had to have some! Don't judge...
So yeah, It's been a glorious weight loss weekend. I had a really good weigh in on Saturday afternoon (-3.1 lbs since 09/22! A.m.a.z.i.n.g) and am hoping for at least another pound less by the end of this week. I'm so glad it's Monday and I'm back on track now ;)

I know something you can do in the future--before you are in a situation that you know you'll be around tempting food, eat lots and lots of veggies first-and protein. Fill up on it that way, if you do eat junk, you won't have room for much. Also, if you drink carbonated calorie free stuff like diet 7 up, the carbonation fills you, too. :)
Maybe that tip will help?
Comment by TinaInMunich on October 1, 2012 at 5:08pm Yeah, I usually come prepared and almost always eat something at home before leaving, but yesterday I went directly from work to the Oktoberfest, and the only food I had available at the office was the leftover cake from Friday, so it wouldn't have been that much better, lol! But I could have grabbed a diet coke on my way out, I'll keep that in mind next time! Thanks :)
