Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

I haven't been around here much in months and I wish I could keep up with all of my friends here but its been hard lately.  Let me update yall on what's going on.

First of all, I flew back from Nova Scotia to start work here at the school.  On the first day of school, I suspected I might be pregnant and I was bleeding and had a breathing issue.  I ended up in ER instead of at work.  They confirmed that I'm pregnant and that I had an upper respiratory infection.  They gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way.

The first few days of work were very hard because I was completely exhausted.  That weekend was so relaxing and nice.  The bleeding slowed down and eventually stopped.

Things went well for a couple days, I finished the antibiotic and developed a a yeast infection but otherwise felt fine.  Yesterday, I was emotional during the day thanks to hormones but otherwise things went fine until 330 when I was walking home from work.  It's just a 5-7 min walk.  I felt a little dizzy but pretty good when I left work, the whole walk I felt like I was passing blood but was hoping it was related to the yeast infection.  I got home and had a huge pile of blood clots in my underwear.

I called OB and they told us to go back to the ER, I refused to at that time because I didn't want to cry and bleed while I waited for possibly hours.  I tried to convince the OB office to just follow up with us today to see if I need a D&C.  They said no, you have to go to ER.  So I waited until this morning and then headed to the hospital.

The doctor said the hormone level is normal and there is still a baby in there at this point.  They found a heartbeat, it is a little slow but right now we have a fighter in there.  They said to expect more blood clots, they can see them on the ultrasound.  Hopefully our baby hangs in there and grows big and strong.  We go back to the OB on Wed to see the progress.

Congrats on the baby-and take it easy-the baby's life is more important than any weight loss! :)
