No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
O.M.G. I woke up this morning at around 7 am and got right to work. At about 11am I submitted the final 180th exam. What a relief that was! I can't even tell you. I really wanted to celebrate in some way - like alcohol and a fancy lunch. We had a little bit of a fancy lunch but it was really light. I stuck with water and had the most amazing mango salad with a little side of oven roasted eggplant that was to die for. We also shared the beef carpaccio. Later in the afternoon I was hungry and did something that I thought would be weird but ended up good. I crumbled about 100 cals worth of a chocolate chip protein bar into some plain yogurt and it was so good! I don't like most protein bars that much but I keep those and protein shakes around for snacks. The combination of the plain yogurt covered that chalk-ish flavor of the protein bar and I was full! Then I took a 2-hour nap and as much as I think naps are a waste of time, this one was heaven. I've just been on cerebral overload with those papers and I crashed hard. Woke up and went to spinning with a new instructor who was very nice but not that hot or motivating but, wow, his class was amazing! I sweated buckets in those 40 short minutes so I can't complain. I just like it when they yell and get you all hyped up and motivated. You know what I mean?
Husband made dinner. Ssshhhh. It wasn't very good at all! He was trying to do a healthy pasta made with fresh fettucine, seasoned boiled chicken, sauteed mushrooms and tomato sauce. I think it would have been fine but he mixed the tomato pasta sauce with some pesto sauce for 'flavor'. Eewwwwww. He tried to tell me he didn't put that much but, um, the jar is EMPTY so............lol I had a small bowl. It was that or nothing.
p.s. Hot flashes blow!!
Comment by Jill Mace on June 22, 2012 at 3:28am Yay for the nap! Yay for the papers being done! Yay for the husband cooking- even if it wasn't good. He tried! :) I hear hot flashes suck. I am just around the corner from them. I am nervous!!!
OMG--I read the beef carpaccio two ways at first--maybe because my eyes aren't awake yet--
Barf capacccino and then beef cappuccino. I had to read it 3 times before I got it right. :P
Comment by Tanie on June 22, 2012 at 9:10am When naps are needed, naps are good. How can resting when you need it be a waste of time? Glad you listened to your body on that one. Congrats on finishing the exams!
Comment by Brandy on June 22, 2012 at 9:38am After almost 200 tests to grade, I too would crash! I'm so glad it's OVER. :)
