No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
I read a blog someone had written about their own experiences with having a broken shoulder and one thing the woman had done was sleep in a recliner since it hurt so bad for her to lay down. I've been having pain when I try to go to bed too, so I tried sleeping in the corner of my connected couch. It worked really well! It took a little while for my brain to process that the sitting-up position was how I was going to sleep, but I didn't have to cry myself to sleep last night.
I was up at 445 to let the dogs out, then back to sleep until 8am to let them out again, and then finally woke up about 1045. Ahhh, sleep. I then stayed on the couch reading and watching TV until about 15 minutes ago, when I decided to get dressed and get something to eat. Being in the sling 24/7 is a little annoying. At least before, I could move my arm if I chose! I'll be glad when my mom comes because I'm really not supposed to move my shoulder, but how else am I supposed to put on a bra, my underwear, or anything?? It's way easier bathing than getting dressed because I can take a bath and use one hand to wash my hair.
My plans today are fairly relaxed: I am cleaning and doing laundry. I made a daily 20-min cleaning schedule that I hope to have ingrained as a habit before school starts again. Once I'm working, if it's not a habit, it's less than likely to happen. Yesterday I didn't clean due to my busy schedule, so today I am cleaning the guest bedroom and office (not much to do, but more of ingraining that habit!), sweeping/mopping the floor, and doing laundry. I really need to invest in a swiffer for sweeping the laminate wood floors since regular sweeping often doesn't get all the dog hair.
Here's the meal plan today. I didn't plan until after I grabbed a snack when I woke up, so therefore the weird breakfast!
B: water and 1 serving chili-cheese fritos (these were leftover from yesterday when I went to to dr and grabbed a snack at the gas station)
L: scrambled egg and a peach --random, but I need protein and I have an overripe peach that needs to be eaten)
D: leftover baked chicken with pesto sauce, leftover roasted garlic green beans
I am dehydrated, I can tell, so I'm going to try and get in a LOT of water today. Also, due to dehydration and eating chinese food last night, my weight is up (too much sodium!). I am at 189 right now. Hopefully I can see the scale go back down by weigh in tomorrow!
