Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Man! And I was doing so WELL! Somewhere between here and my last post, I lost a week and some change! ( and a couple of pounds!) I'm down to 195. Tomorrow is the Wednesday Weigh In....Hopefully I can report a slightly less number.

I had this grandiose, detailed report to file with you guys, last week, but.... I was at work, caught a run and someone logged me off before I could get back and post. Ah, well. Such is life. Basically, it involved the weekend festivities, including the local Old Timer''s Festival and our pilgrimage to the ONE and ONLY Jack in the Box to grace the State of Ohio. All that and I was only up one pound! I was rather pleased about that. Right now, I'm even more pleased to be staring down the barrel at the lower end of the 190's.  This has been a tough nut to crack! Maybe as I age, I'm gaining some wisdom.......Pfffft! Right!

To be frank, I'm finding that some of my most favoritest junk food just doesn't taste as good as it used to. I blame partly my aging tastebuds, and partly the fact that no one uses LARD anymore. Red Baron/Schwan's personal Deep Dish pizza. OMG! I LOVED the crust. SO flaky, rich, flaky...Now, not so much. Pot pies? Same story. It seems that anything involving shortening has fallen victim to this atrocity. Not really such a bad thing, I guess. If it doesn't taste good, I don't eat it. Plain and simple. I'm finding that I'm getting better at not eating just " for the sake of eating". Last year's 24 hour morning sickness seemed to shed light on the fact that I CAN, in fact, not eat and live to tell about it. ( and produce a pretty darned cute baby, to boot!) The mere thought of some things still turn my stomach.... Cold cuts....Even Subway! I have to get the Veggie Delite or a Breakfast melt. THe meatball is good too, but sliced lunchmeat just curls my nails!

I am all about eating what tastes good too.  Otherwise, what's the point, right?!

I don't care for lunchmeat either. Unless it's the turkey from Costco, it is like carvingboard turkey. So good! I think my tastes are changing too, maybe I am realizing its just not worth it to eat the garbage food. I notice when I am eating more fruits/veggies I crave them. What a wonderful thing!
