These jeans exacerbate the genetic betrayal that is my legacy!! Why is it that no matter how much weight I lose, my thighs will always be proportionately larger than my other body parts??...Life is so unfair! I have decided that when I lost all the weight that I need to lose and I've done everything humanly possible to deal with my "chub rub" aka "thunder thighs", I will elect for liposuction and/or other surgical procedures. This issue has seriously haunted every female member of my family including the perpetually thin ones. We are all doomed to be perpetual pears no matter if a size 4 or 24. Sometimes, it even seems that with the weight loss I am exaggerating my peardom. I'm hoping the workouts that I am about to begin will lessen this issue. I've always thought if I were ever starving my body could feed off of the fat stores in my thighs for a few weeks anyway. I always try to put a positive spin on things lol

I don't think there is too many of us that think our thighs are slim enough. I so understand where you're coming from. There are some exercise programs that do slim. I found that Power 90 helped me lose 4.5 inches off each thigh.

Yup - sucks huh?  My tush and thighs are the first place I gain and I never seem to lose.  So now yes, I am in smaller pants, but you are right with the proportion thing.  My mom used to tell me to be grateful because hips and thighs are beneficial for birthin.  Well my kids are 15 and 18 and I am ready for the saddlebags to disappear.  To add insult to injury, by boobs disappear first so I really feel out of sync...  Hang in there.  Weight training and leg workouts should help.  :)

Big butt and thighs here!  I could easily fit into a size smaller in the waist then in my thighs.  Oh well, c'est la vie, embrace what your maker gave you.

Yup, any pair of jeans that I have ever bought have always had to be taken in at the waist.   If I go any  smaller in size, they won't fit my thighs.   I'm actually at peace with my booty and my thighs but my family is plagued with the 'pot belly' thing.   I can't even begin to tell you how often I get mistaken for being pregnant:(   Keep doing what you're doing and don't be discouraged!

I happen to think pear shaped is attractive. :-) The women in my family are very large chested and we think it's such a burden! Sounds like you're doing a great job.

I think you should try what Nimi does and have them taken in at the waist.  My mom has the opposite problem.  She has a bigger waist, no butt and super thin legs though she is plus size.  They just don't make jeans for real women.

There is nothing that a great tailor cannot fix.... OK well maybe not NOTHING... but alterations can be super helpful.  I feel your pain, and hey, if you think surgery would help I say do it when your ready.  It's not worth being unhappy forever if there is a way to help it, right? :)

Personally I think you are to hard on yourself!  82 pounds down is no simple accomplishment.  You should be pround of what you have done, continue on with your journey, feel pretty, feel smaller, enjoy what you have done.  When the journey is done - that is the time to decide what your body needs.  Great job!!!!!!!!!!
