No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Have you ever heard the statistic that people only gain 1 - 2 pounds over the holidays?  I would love to be those people.  I gained - ready for this? - 8.5 pounds!  What in the world was I thinking???  I have got to do something different next year!  Maybe my new plan will be to only make 2 kinds of cookies each for my husband and son.  I just realized I made 10 kinds of cookies and candy this year and ate way too much of them!  You know it's bad when your fat jeans are tight.  Really bad!  Today I went and bought a new treadmill so I can get exercise in since I can't walk outside in winter (asthma).  I tracked my food for the day and planned the food for tomorrow and worked on the food for Tuesday.  I walked for half an hour tonight and cleaned all afternon so burned some points.  I have to do something to work this back off.  The only upside - I weigh less than I did last winter after the holidays - about 5 pounds less.  Anyone else gain over the holidays or was it just me?

I have heard that people actually gain 5 - 10 pounds during the holidays. I have recently experienced my fat jeans being too tight also and it scared me into action! That's great that you bought a treadmill...I would be lost without mine :)

The only reason I gained probably just a couple of pounds is that I had a few bad days in the last few weeks, but,  outside of those, I was good.  I didn't go wild every day-though, on 2 of those days, I had a stomach ache from overdoing it.

Glad you have a good plan to drop the holiday weight. :)

How fun to have a new treadmill!  I am with you on the overdoing the holiday treats.  If you make 'em--you have to try them out!!!

Oh yeah--the cookies got me.  The neighbor's cookie tray, the friend's cookie tray, the cookies at work, the cookies at the family gatherings.  My fat pants snickered at me when I put them on.  :)  So thankful for the new year!!

When my work scrubs become my fashion statement .... ALL the time, I know I'm in trouble.
