Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Not a lot to say....but I'm sure I'll find something...This was my slam day. My brain seriously hurt by the end of the day. I'm actually grateful that I get to exercise my brain so much with my job! .........So, there's the TGIW part of the title......Now, on to Roni's WIW. I have never thought much about any kind of WIW or any weigh in at all, really. Something struck me today and I decided to 'join' her WIW group and start weighing in once a week - on Wed, of course. Yes, the girl who would not step on a scale for almost a year is trying something different! I don't know if it will help. I'm not really sure that it matters if it helps. I really am just desperate for 'new' everything - new types of food, new types of exercise, new ways - just new and different. One of many reasons I became a teacher is because I knew it would be a different experience every day. Not all good. Not all bad. But never in my entire career have I said or felt that I have a boring job. I do tend to get bored easily. So, here are the different/new things I tried today:

I made the FASTEST meal on the planet. I cut up some sl/bl chicken breasts and cooked them in the pan a little and then tore open 2 bags of frozen veggie stir-fry (with no added junk, sauce, spices, etc). Dinner was lite and yummy and took 10 minutes.

I tried a new cardio machine at the gym that was tough but AWESOME. It's very much like an elliptical but it's the one where depending on how you pedal and move the arm pieces will depend on whether you are 'climbing stairs', jogging or running with long strides. Very cool and a great workout.

And I joined Roni's WIW. I hope I stick with it. I'll keep y'all posted. Is anyone else participating?

Two more days until the weekend!

Trying new things is always positive, and if "new" doesn't work you can always go back to your "old" routine :) I find weigh ins to be good, but I don't do official ones on Wednesdays... I pretty much weigh in every second or third day, just to see how I am doing and keeping myself motivated. I don't think this works for everyone, but so far it's working for me :) WIW sounds easy enough and I'm sure you can stick to that, so please let us know how that goes!

I tend to find something cool then overdo it & burn out.  Knowing that I've done this in the past, I force myself to mix it up differently every week to prevent that from happening again. (I burned out on Step class and spin class because of that)

Try new things-(Food, exercise equipment, exercise classes etc) because sometimes you think you might not like it and then find something you really love! :)

New is always a good idea.  It shakes things up and makes things more interesting.  I like that you are shaking it up!!!  New recipes, new exercises, new WIW!  I am proud of you!!!

New & exciting just isn't my thing.  I'm an accountant.  For the government.  Don't get much more boring than that.  But I wouldn't change a thing.  I love it!

I weigh in on wed with Roni, glad you're joining us :-)  I totally love the machine you speak of, I have done it before.
