No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

I just completed the 2nd week of my StepBet Challenge. So far, so good. I have been able to hit my goal Mon-Sat and then take a rest day on Sunday.

It has definitely motivated me to move a lot more. My husband is participating also, so we've been holding each other accountable. We are getting out for walks after dinner with the family or marching in place in front of the tv together if the weather doesn't cooperate. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my mom has been walking, so when we went to visit, I went for walks with her each morning. The active days aren't so hard to reach, but getting to my stretch goal is quite a feat some days. Last week I did a zumba video at naptime and then still needed to go for a walk in the evening to reach my goal. I was WORN OUT by the end of that day.

Speaking of my trip to see family...I definitely indulged more than normal on things that I rarely get...and I'm ok with that. Mom's pound cake? Yeah, not going to pass that one up. Whataburger? Why yes, I will enjoy my favorite burger that I cannot get in Ohio. So yes, the scale was up when I got back and that's ok. Back to tracking to get it back down where it should be and then continue on with life. That's maintenance.

Glad you had a good vacation. Step Bet seems like it is fun. Don't dismiss walking as easy or not real exercise. I lost 20 pounds one summer & that was the only exercise I did.

It's always nice to have someone else to exercise with! Glad to hear it's going well!

P.s. I am from Ohio and will be travelling there next week! I'll wave. :)
