No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Since Thursday, I thought that this small sore on my leg wasn't a big deal. Over the weekend, it progressively got worse, but I thought, no biggie...let the Neosporin do it's thing. But today it got sooo gross. It's infected and the affected area is about the size of my palm. I'm going to urgent care tomorrow after work since none of the doctors I've called can get me in at the last minute (of course). So frustrating.

I had a good day at work today and then had a b-ball game. Hubby was supposed to cook dinner tonight, but his uncle was transported to the hospital this afternoon and they are having to do emergency surgery to remove his foot (he has diabetes and an infection set in). Not good. So that meant running out after cheer practice for something to eat after going home to let the dogs out. Hubby was supposed to go grocery shopping, but it's been crazy around here today.

Here's the meal plan. I adjusted well and am proud to stay that I stayed within the points allotted for dinner. The only thing I ate that was not on my plan was a bowl of cereal when I got home from the game. And I have weeklies for my cereal kick I'm on.

B: coffee w/2 creamers; yogurt
L: 1/2 serving leftover linguini; banana w/2 tbsp pb2; applesauce (1/2 cup)
Snack: 2/3 c. chocolate toffee candy (Homemade and given by a student--so thoughtful!!)
D: 3 Doritos Locos tacos and a diet coke
Dessert after the game: 2 servings Cinnamon Toast Crunch and 1 c. fat-free milk

Okay, so the cereal is probably the worst kind I could get, but it is totally one of my favorites from my childhood. I need to buy some more FiberOne so I can cut my sweet cereal with some of the healthy stuff (when I mix them together, I honestly don't notice much of a difference in the taste). Anyone else have a guilty pleasure cereal?

Hope your foot is okay and also hope that your husband's uncle's surgery goes well. That's great that you managed to stay within your points for dinner! Lucky Charms is one of my favorites but I LOVE all the sugary kid cereals!

I hope your leg heals quickly. I am sorry to hear about the uncle. That would be a difficult thing to adjust to. You are in my prayers.

Guilty pleasure cereal? That is a toss up between Frosted Flakes & Honeycomb.

I hope your leg is OK. Definitely get it checked out, especially if the size you describe.

I'm sorry about your husband's uncle. How terrible.

Sounds like you've gotten off to a rough start of a week. Hang in there.

I love lots of foods that are really bad for me.  Strangely enough, I can't stand cereal.  Give me a bagel or breakfast sandwich or waffle for breakfast.  Evening snacking revolves around popcorn.  Guilt revolves around cheese, beer and chocolate!
