No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
I stayed up late last night finishing quite possibly the worst book I've ever read in my entire life - 50 Shades of Grey. So, I woke up late and irritated and still confused at what all the hype is about that 'book'. I hope I'm not offending but I was mad all day adding up all the wasted minutes in my life reading that garbage. I was never so thrilled to finish a book. Normally it's the opposite. I can usually pick good ones but not this time.
Whew. I feel better now. Now that you know why I woke up late...........It was a pretty quiet day. I lazed around and then we went for a bike ride. We cut out the extra hour or so we do at the university because neither of us were up to it. Husband grilled steaks for dinner. I had a small salad to go with it.
Looking forward to Sunday riding!
Day 4 of no alcohol challenge! I'll only write this every day because I have to remind myself! lol
Breakfast: coffee, oatmeal/almond milk/pb/coconut/cocoa powder/sugar - 500
Snack: low fat cottage cheese/blueberries/maple syrup - 125
Lunch/snack: little bit of leftover salmon, risotto, 1 lite LC wedge, 1/2 ww thin, 1 crab stick dipped in dressing - 500
Dinner: 8-10 oz steak w/ bbq sauce, little bit of leftover salad (too wilted) - I have no idea what kind of cut of meat the steak was but it was a bit fatty inside. I was hungry and ate it and trimmed as much fat as possible (-800?? - really no idea)
Total:~1800 more or less (hopefully less)
Exercise: 2 hours of city bike riding
Your leg muscles must be so strong!
BTW-how do you handle steep hills? I remember the last time I went riding, I couldn't handle some about half way up and I had to walk the bike.
Comment by Cindy on August 5, 2012 at 12:44pm @Keem - I think my leg muscles are pretty strong. That's why I want to start strength training again so that I can gain muscle in my whole body (aside from the obvious age related factors). I love the hills because I get a really good workout going up and I get my heart rate up. There aren't that many here but if there is a big one I just crank the gears almost all the way down and go for it!
Looks like you had a great day. Excellent food data & biking to boot. My husband & I went bike riding while on our mini vacation, and I forgot how sore my butt could get. It has been a long time since I rode it. I am more into home exercise DVD's. But I am hoping that we can hit the rail to trail bike trail here a few times before it gets too cold to do so.
Comment by Brandy on August 5, 2012 at 6:49pm Ahahaha! I ended up reading the series too. I felt like, well I read the first one, wonder if the second one's better? And then I was like, Might as well finish the series. By the third one, it's more romance and less erotica. Great job with your exercise and meal plan! Keep up with your challenge--awesome job so far. :)
Comment by Cindy on August 5, 2012 at 7:26pm @Paula - It takes a few rides to get your butt used to the seat. Sometimes it's a big turnoff for people when they first ride. I rode today and noticed that I was a little sore by the end since my little hiatus!
@Brandy - No way I'm gonna read the other two. I just can't believe that there is so much hype about it!
