No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Does anyone get SAD (seasonal affect disorder)?  I think I may have it every winter.  I am working on what Dr. Oz suggested - exercise, vitamin D3 and light therapy but I'm not sure about the light therapy.  Do you know what to use for this?  I think this could explain my winter weight gain every year.  Hmmm...

My aunt suffered from SAD and her Dr suggested a light box. It seemed to help a great deal. Living in Vermont made for some long dark winter hours. Check on line for them.

I have heard about it, but I live in CA, so we have a very mild winter. Good luck!

I always take the Dr Oz recommendations with a grain of salt--he is so full of hype and always promoting different diet and nutritional supplements.

I think winter weight gain is mostly because it's not as pleasant to be outside--and there are a lot of holidays during the colder months.....

Be careful about taking any supplement without researching first.  Recently, consumer reports did one on vitamins and supplements and I think it's available online so you might read that.  At least when they do an article, they have nothing to gain/lose by writing it. :)
