No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Well I attended my first Relay for Life this weekend and am proud to say that all us vendors and walkers helped raise 100,000 in 7 hours. I have never been somewhere where so many people are out to help not cause pain or disruption. I absolutley love my team and feel that I have made some true friends. Our team raised 1200.00 and sold out of all of food items. We are already thinking about next year. However that wasn't the most important thing I took from this relay. The most important thing I took away was how there are people out there who are dealing with the idea of dying or watching their loved one die. I also met people who beat this horrible disease and are better for it. So now when i think about the fact that I don't have the best phone, house, body, bank account I do have my health and there are many people who would just love to have their health. I pray that we find a cure soon and that those that are fighting are given the strength to continue the fight. I defiantly keep finding things that are helping me grow and become a better person for it. Well I am off now to go take a walk and think about how grateful I am to have the health and strength to do it. Be proud of you and let no one take that away.
