No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Now that I have your attention...
EVERY month, a week before my period, I have some sort of sinus problem. I have been to the ENT doc and he put me on 2 nose sprays and a daily allegra. He says that if it keeps getting bad (no duh), he will do surgery because something is wrong with my passages (he saw it on my CAT scan - I can't remember what he said).
I do not want to get surgery but I cannot ensure this EVERY month...sigh...
Has anyone experienced this? If so, please give me some suggestions ;-)
In other news, I fell off my real food bandwagon today because of my sinuses and poor planning.
Day #1 - swordfish, potatoes, broccolli
Day #2 - chicken alfredo, potatoes, spinach
Day #3 - turkey burger, green beans
Day #4 (TODAY)- burgers and fries...ugh....when I get all cloudy headed I am down for the count. Since I know that this is going to continue for a week, I will cook in the morning so that I won't have to deal with it at night (my worse symptoms).
Comment by Cindy on August 1, 2012 at 11:25pm Sorry you're having these problems. Strange coincidence? I can't imagine what female hormonal surges would do to cause sinus problems. I hope you get to the root of the problem though.
Some drs jump at surgery--get 2nd and 3rd opinions. Did they ever suggest allergy testing first? Or maybe giving up dairy products for a week or so around that time? (Research dairy's effect on your nasal junk-maybe that will help?)
