No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Good morning, and many thanks to my supporters here on BTL for your encouragement yesterday. It was great, and very helpful! I made some positive steps yesterday. Exercised and ate appropriately. I made a meal plan for myself for the next two weeks. It's kind of a goal sheet of the types of meals I know I should eat to be "on track" but it's also specific. I did compute my calories for the day yesterday--this always helps when I've had a hiccup in my journey like this...I check to see where I come out with the exercise and eating, and it was just right. However, if I had eaten like I did just the day before, just for dessert (It was my son's birthday) the chocolate cake and ice cream would have added at least 700 more calories. when my fam was having leftover cake, I had a fat free chocolate pudding cup and a small peppermint patty. Yum.
So this morning I got out and did a very challenging fitness walk for 50 minutes. I've been back for about 20 minutes now, and I'm still actively sweating. I'm eating my Chobani greek yogurt, drinking water, and talking with y'all...This hill I do is ridiculous. I do it purely for the challenge of it. Without having a weight training routine for my legs, this one does wonders. It's over a mile up a very steep hill near our house. On the downhill it works a whole different set of leg (and buns) muscles and I pump my arms harder to keep my heart rate up. I always feel like it's a big accomplisment to do it.

Comment by Jill Mace on October 3, 2012 at 2:43pm Way to go to make yourself walk up the hill for the challenge. That sounds like something I would do! Good job on avoiding seconds- yet allowing yourself something sweet! Great balance!!!
Comment by Cindy on October 3, 2012 at 11:31pm Hills are an amazing workout and one mile of uphill and then downhill! Excellent!
