No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
What a long day. Meeting after meeting after meeting after.....
I broke my 30-day challenge. Oh well. I've never been that good with those anyway so I'm not that disappointed in myself. I'm gonna continue on doing it for the rest of the month.
I did fine at the after school happy hour. I didn't drink or eat any of the food served even though it all looked good.
I did go to the gym after I got home from school. I'm super proud of that considering it was all wet, blah and rainy outside.
Later we met up with friends and I sipped 2 tequilas and 2 club sodas. I planned to only drink 2 tequilas since I decided to be realistic with myself. I just don't do the 'no drinking' thing well at all. We also had 2 small appetizers there. I had a few bites of beef carpaccio and one piece of bruschetta. The group wanted to do some bar hopping but I said that I didn't trust myself to continue without drinking and declined. I'm so proud of that decision!
Husband and I left and had a Lebanese dinner of hummus, baba ganoush (sp?), some delicious grilled chicken and arabic bread. Lots of fluffy bread. Yum. It really wasn't what we eat that was bad but it was how much! For some reason we were both starving. Either that or we were just craving a good meal out since we've done really well since getting back from vacay. Now I feel stuffed and full and I know I ate more than I should have but it's done and that's OK. It definitely could have been worse!

Food: (just writing, no calorie counting today!)
Breakfast: coffee, 1/2 c plain yogurt w/ flavored stevia, 1 tbsp flaxseed,
Snack: 3 egg whites
Lunch: sandwich made with 1 ww thin, dijon, chicken slices and a slice of swiss, 1.5 cups of roasted peppers in brine
Snack: some new 150 cal 'regulate your sugar' crisps from GNC - (pretty good)
Snack 2 before gym: 1/2 ww thin with a tiny bit of ICBINB and a little maple syrup
Dinner: 2 tequilas, 3 club sodas, 1 piece of bruschetta, a few bites of carpaccio, hummus, baba ganoush, one grilled chicken skewer and shitload (like 4-5 pieces) of yummy, hot and fluffy arabic bread
Cardio elliptical and stairmaster - 40 minutes - 425 calories
What's baba ganoush?
Comment by Cindy on August 11, 2012 at 10:33am @Keem - baba ganoush is made with the same basic ingredients as hummus but roasted eggplant is used instead of the chickpeas. It has a really distinctive flavor that comes from the blackened outter part of the roasted eggplant. Delicious!

About the 30 day challenge thing...oh well you did stop yourself and not continue when everyone else did...so I would say that is a pretty great step right?!
