No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Well, I guess I will start off by saying that my name is Becky and I am 25 years old. I have been overweight my entire life. I remember being a kid(probably around 8 or 9) and my doctor telling my mom to put me into sports year round to make me lose weight. Needless to say it's been a rough battle but I have finally decided that it's my time to lose weight! When I get a mental image of myself it is definitely not the image I see when I look in the mirror and I need for that to change.
About 5 months ago I decided to make some drastic life changes. It pains me to say it(literally no one knows this) but in November I weighed about 295 pounds! While I don't look like I weigh that much because of my frame and muscle mass it was WAY higher than I ever thought it would be. As of the last time I weighed myself(maybe 2 weeks ago) I was down to 258. I wish that number was lower but am still proud of what I have done so far and am determined to keep going.
I did not join a weight loss program just make sure to exercise at least 3 times a week, drink LOTS of water and eat extremely healthy. There has been a lot of slipping up in there but for the most part I have stayed on track. But my brother is getting married on July 2nd and I will be reuniting with someone very special then and want to look my best! I know it may be a bit unrealistic but I'm hoping to be at 240 by then. *crosses fingers*
I do a lot of research of different ways to lose weight because I figure every little bit helps and one thing I keep seeing is to start a blog so I decided it was time, searched weight loss blog community and this is the first hit I got! So here I am, blogging for the first time about this journey I'm on.
I'm not quite sure how this blogging things work and if anyone else will actually even read this but here it is, my dirty little secrets aired to the world. I did some reading about African Mango so bought some supplements yesterday so we'll see if they help me out and hopefully I can get to a scale relatively soon so check my progress.(I work with a traveling theatre company so I'm on the road all the time and very rarely come across a way to weigh myself).
If anyone actually read this-props to you for reading my ramblings. Feel free to leave me any advice you've got and I wish you the best of luck in your journeys! :)
