No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
I'm back from a couple of busy days. We took our son for that college visit on Friday, that was a very full day. I think I did pretty good even with the uncertainty of the food offered at the luncheon. We walked a LOT. A lot of walking and climbing of stairs--its' a good old New England style college built on a hill. After the visit we drove about 15 miles up the road and ate our Subway subs at a State Park that was gorgeous and drove the 3 hours back.
Yesterday was the Bake sale that I was dreading. It really wasn't a big deal because there weren't many donated goods to tempt. I took my own bag lunch with me.
So on Friday's college visit, here's what I ate for the day:
Breakfast--Multigrain Cheerios with slivered almonds, strawberries and skim milk, coffee
Morning Snack--Chobani Greek yogurt
Lunch--Tossed salad with some creamy dressing (?), White rice with chicken stirfry, cooked carrots, and a whole grain-looking roll, iced tea and water. Dessert was something I could NOT resist. It was tiny, though. It was about 1 Tbsp size of fried vanilla ice cream in a little dish with raspberry sauce.
Dinner--Subway Turkey & Ham on a Whole wheat bun with veggies and fat free ranch dressing, a tiny clementine orange, Diet Coke
Evening snack--Special K Protein Snack Bar
Overall it was not bad...I guess I should feel guilty about induling in that dessert, but it was so delicious ! (and did I say TINY?)
So far I am down 7 lbs for the month of August, my goal loss is 10 this month.
My plan stays the same...MORE activity, whole grains, fresh fruit and veggies, water (small treats once in awhile)...LESS fattening food, amounts of food and excuses!!!
I always wished they'd make chocolate fried ice cream at places.
It's discrimination, I tell ya! Discrimination!!!
Equal chocolate rights!!!! :P :P :P

Was Friday (or Saturday) a national 'visit colleges' day? I have 2 other friends who were visiting colleges with their kids either Fri or Sat.
Comment by fit4life on August 19, 2012 at 4:22pm Thanks, Cindy. I know the college we visited, it was an "encounter" day--a planned tour event. Maybe the colleges do these right before their students come to campus the following weekend???
And Keem, I know...Chocolate deserves an equal stand!!!
