Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

The Gummy Bear decided he was pulling an all-nighter so I slept for an hour and a half.  It was 3 a.m. and I decided to go running either way, I drank my coffee and hated e/one who was sleeping soundly.  Ugh, I got lost on the way there and ended up being the first one there.  We did 3 something miles at an easy pace and talked the whole way.  I don't think I tightened the knee strap correctly, my knee started hurting once it slid down with the sweat.

No pain though!  The ladies said they would warm up before the run but that just meant walking across the street and jogging.  Not for me!  I actually did some dynamic stretches while waiting for them and stretched right after the run, once I got home and then iced.  I don't care if I have to have a whole ritual to run.  I missed it SO much.

I came home and passed out for another hour.  The kids woke up, husband fed them and I passed out for another two hours.  I slept long enough, I got to run.  A real run!  *sigh*

I'm taking two days for cross-training to avoid pissing off the patellar tendon.  I think it'll be weight lifting and then yoga.  I don't know, I feel so much better and smiling is a lot easier.  :]

I had a whole stretching ritual when I went running too!  I really believe it helps cut down on the soreness and injuries.  Sorry you didn't get any sleep.  Hopefully you can sneak in another nap.

No, best not to piss of that patellar tendon! LOL!  Take good care of your body and it'll take care of you. Glad you found a way to get your run on again!
