No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
I met a colleague for lunch at The Cheesecake Factory yesterday. I managed to order off their "skinnylicious" menu - although that cracked me up "all entrees under 590 calories". Kind of makes you wonder what their definition of skinnylicious is. However I ordered a spicy chicken salad which was mostly chicken a little bit of rice, beans and corn and lots and lots of greens very lightly dressed. I managed to do something I don't normally do when I eat out, I made the smart choice. Most of the time I rationalize my poor choice, but this time I made the right choice and I was more than satisfied. I was more interested in our conversation than the food. Hot diggity.
I had gone to Weight Watchers in the morning, lost 1.2 lbs and was bound and determined that I wasn't going to celebrate my victory at the scale with a meal.

That's so great! I would have been soooo tempted by those awesome desserts-but you know what? They will still be there waiting for you on either planned treat days by you or when you reach your goal weight. :)
Comment by nancy martin on August 10, 2012 at 5:32pm I really need to be good after weighing-in like you--instead of having a big meal that day and a few too many snacks. Hope you have another great week.
Comment by Cindy on August 11, 2012 at 12:00pm WOW and WOW again! You really made a great choice with the salad! The calorie counts on some of their food and desserts is as high as one person's entire allotment for the day. I just did a search for their nutritional info and here are a few: chocolate tower truffle cake at 1700 calories, carrot cake at 1600, peanut butter cup cheesecake - 1300 cals. Don't think of trying to be healthy and order just a cup of hot chocolate because it will be as many calories as your entire salad - 550 calories for a cup of HOT CHOCOLATE (yea i'm screaming!). So, yes, you are definitely hearing a big 'congratulations!' for making a healthy choice there. I love CC Factory so I just completely avoid it. I'm not nearly as interested in their food as I am the desserts.
Great job on not celebrating your loss with food!
