No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Weee! I have POWER, in the office/playroom/pit again!
So, whilst in the middle of the dining room renovation-that-was-only-supposed-to-be wallpaper-removal-and ended-up-a-total-gut, Hubby strikes out on his own weight loss endeavour. And I quote: "There's an App for that." MyFitnessPal, to be exact. It takes your stats and gives you a calorie range, allows for physical activity and adjusts calorie target for it, has a scan feature, so one can scan food ( UPC code )and will tally up the calories. I use it too, along with the Old Points. The food finder is nice. It provides nutrition info for the 'weird' stuff or things you may not have access to the label for. I find that I end up over my recommended caloric intake when I'm ok on my Points for the day. Not by much, though. We are talking ~200 calories or so. Hubby has lost 30 pounds since the beginning of April! He's excited! I am too, but now he weighs less than I do. ( HORRORS!!!) It IS much easier to cook for the both of us. His biggest foes are portion sizes and his lack of love for vegetables other than potatoes. And lets not forget Little Debbie cakes and the snack locker at work. He's given both up, cold turkey.
I've been hard at it for about a week straight, now. The baby has 'quit' me, so I don't have to worry about that. The little horse is 5 months and almost 20lbs! I was 209lbs this morning. I had a bit of a binge last night, but the scale stayed the same. ( I'm a daily weigher. I HAVE to!) I've noticed my belly pooch is starting to diminish and that is great motivation.
I'll have to dump the camera and post some new pictures of the kids and kitties, along with the dining room.
Gotta get back into shape! Going back to work soon and need to fit into my gear!
Since the lil'Varmint seems to have established a decent schedule, I'll try to start posting food pictures and be better about posting, all together. Toodles!
