No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Today was passable but I could have done a lot better. If you are food packer (like pack all your food for work) do you ever go through those phases where just about nothing sounds good to eat for the day? I've had a few this week where I just forced myself to pack my food and tonight was no different. I feel sick of everything that I eat. Maybe it's just eating pretty much the same thing day in and out. I do vary dinner quite a bit....well, sorta. I just don't have time or energy right now to try anything new and I pack the fastest things I can throw in my lunch kit.
I have really neglected connecting with my BTL buddies this week and I'm sorry for that. I don't really like coming on just to post and leave but right now I'm just way too behind.

Breakfast: coffee, plain yogurt, oatmeal bar (400)
Snack: nope
Lunch: leftover salmon, rice, green beans (~600)
Snack: 2 egg whites spread with 1 LC (80),
Dinner: baba ganoush/lentil chips (200), 3/4 bagel w/ 2 LC, 1 slice of swiss and lean roast beef (~500)
Snack: nope
Total: 1800-2000
Exercise: planned off day
Comment by Lynette S on August 24, 2012 at 12:14am When I used to pack, I would go through stages like that... That's when I would normally get a lean Cuisine or something like that.
It is tough when brown bagging since we do have a tendency to pack the same stuff. It is kind of difficult to come up with new ideas. I've been to Roni's site where she tells you what she has packed for her sons lunch and I've taken some ideas from there. Doesn't look like you had too bad a day either. And AMEN to it being almost Friday!!!!!!!
Comment by Erica on August 24, 2012 at 12:09pm I hear you with the packing. It is so important to keep in interesting or else you won't want to pack or eat it! Do you ever plan to cook a little extra for dinner so that you can pack some left overs? I got sick of my mixed baby green salads & baby spinach salads, this week I've been eating kale salads. I had never ate kale so do raw until this week & it turns out that I really love it!!! I've been trying to carve some time out to do some meal planning. Next week the kids start school & so do I. So I'm trying to come p with some food short cuts. I found this site called http://onceamonthmom.com/ and I plan to use some recipes and ideas to make ahead some freezer meals!
