No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
I can't believe I have had 3 fantastic days in a row. After my week off from eating healthy, no Power 90 or Slim in 6, and no tracking...I realize how much better I feel and how much better I sleep eating healthy and exercising most days. I guess I was in a burn out mode. I just lost focus on just how important it is in order to feel good. I am on week 6 of Slim in 6. I do see a difference, but realize it will take me a few rounds of this program. I am thinking after this week I'll do a hybrid of Slim in 6 and Power 90. These beachbody programs have truly worked and I recommend them to everyone. As for today's healthy eating plan:
Breakfast -Banana w/tablespoon of peanutbutter & fresh blueberries
Snack - 1 date and a combo of watermelon, grapes & more blueberries
Lunch - Salad, 1 cup leftover broccoli noodle soup & 2 celery stalks
Snack - Pita w/hummus
Dinner - Salad and Blackbean & Tofu Stew
I think I am finally eating enough so I am not hungry. I tried the 3 meals a day no snacking, but I just feel better with at least 2 snacks in between meals.
Sometimes, I think it takes a little time off for us to realize how much we really DO like the way we're eating.
I don't know how many times I would be doing so well and then have these grand fantasies about diving into pints of Ben & Jerry's or a whole chocolate fudge cake etc--and then I do it--and while it's all great--I don't feel so great afterward-and I miss the good stuff.
Then I had to ask myself what makes me feel good--physically and mentally. I decided that eating healthy foods does that. I also decided that eating the junk DOES make me feel good mentally if I do it in moderation and if it's not every day. So that really helps me on those days that I might think I should just go ahead and eat junk all day because I had already eaten junk--I just try to ask myself what makes me feel good. :)

Comment by Cindy on August 8, 2012 at 8:42pm I'm so happy that you've had great days since back from vacation! I also find it amazing that our bodies do crave the good stuff and feel so much better with it than the junk.
I've tried to go without my snacks and just can't do it either. I'm still not sure if it's just the idea that I get to eat something or, in fact, I'm really hungry.
