Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

I can only seem to keep up with one blog at a time....and she's got like five!  sigh...i guess that's part of the reason we all love her so much eh?

anyway, the other blog is going well...i've been fairly steady on posting so i'm glad my friends and family can keep up with us!  THIS one, however, is suffering....and so am I.

The no sugar challenge was great.  Then it stopped.  And so did I.  It seems that my staying power is lacking here lately.  I even had Taco Bell for dinner last night....I STILL can't believe I put that crap in my mouth.  And it doesn't taste nearly as good as I remember!!

So, I'm looking for book suggestions...especially ones with simple, healthy, whole food based meals.  No refrigerated biscuits for me!  Specifically recipes based on veggies/protein.  Of course, I'm using Roni's recipes, but I need more.

So lay it on me friends....whatcha got?

When I did my no sweets challenge, I started small and built on it--like I would go for one week without sweets and then have one day off (no binges, of course) and then I would go 10 days then a day off-then 2 weeks and then a day off etc.  Maybe that will help you rather than just going cold turkey with no light at the end of the tunnel?

 

Oh-and I've soooo btdt on the eating something that used to be so awesome and then after healthy food, it just seemed like nothing special and didn't live up to the memory.

the 30 days was cake....its the coming off it days that kill me....they never seem to end.  I just cant seem to get back on the wagon after I 'indulge' and it's killing me!  I'm not sure how to tackle that though :(  I know that I need to let myself eat off plan occasionally...I just haven't figured out how to limit that time ya know?

Isn't it strange when you stay away from something so long and finally you go and eat it and it just doesn't taste as good as you remember. It means your body is craving healthy food. A very good thing. Roni has some of the best recipes. I've gotten so many from her and each one rocks! I need to buy her cookbook one of these days.
