No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Comment by Jill Mace on August 19, 2012 at 12:59am I had to face the scale this week. You will feel better once you get it over with. You may not like what you see ( I didn't), but it is a great way to reset and start over. It is hard to stay on track when you have company. Make sure there are healthy options available to you and then be a role model of a healthy eater. Enjoy your time with your family and try not to stress too much about the food that you don't enjoy the visit!
Maybe facing the scale will shock you into behaving during their visit?
Comment by Erica on August 19, 2012 at 10:57am Make sure that you have lots of healthy choices in the house that are quick & easy and accessible. Keep a big bowl of fruit out on the counter. When you get home form grocery shopping wash & cut up veggies so that you have them, light mozzarella cheese sticks, individual packs of tuna fish (great salad topper). I also like to keep frozen fish & perfect portions chicken breasts in the freezer so I can make good choices. I would choose my favorite Argentinian meal & have some! Enjoy your family!
Comment by Cindy on August 19, 2012 at 4:32pm Remember that the most important thing is spending time with your family, not the weight issues. Have a good time with them and try to stay on track as much as possible. I think sometimes (probably too often) we get so caught up in what others are going to say or think or how they will react and we lose sight of the big picture.
Comment by Lynette S on August 19, 2012 at 11:51pm Try and remember that when family is visiting you are not on vacation! I always find it easier when I'm at my own home, because I can make sure I have good choice. You can do it!
