No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Can you imagine my total surpise when I went to the doctor today and not only had I NOT lost any weight but I actually gained a couple pounds? I cannot say I was in shock but I was irritated by this.
The Zone diet ... no white flour products, no white anything ... basically if it is white, don't eat it. Except egg whites and yogurt :-)
I have been reading up on this and found out recently that my neighbor is a fitness coach. She is currently in her 9th mont of pregnancy and said she would work out with me everyday after she has the baby, any day now. In the mean time, she will walk me through Zone and help me with it. She actually volunteered to read up on Fibro so she knows what types of exercises to do with me and what to stay away from. She is doing all this out of the goodness of her heart. Can I ask for a better friend then one that is willing to give up her own time to help me? I don't think I could find a better friend.

I think the zone diet has some great concepts but I found it frustrating to try and hit the macronutrient targets on a daily basis while trying to eat foods that I and my family liked. I hope your friend is able to help you out soon, but in the meantime, maybe you can pre-plan some menus for yourself. It's never too soon to start!

I try avoiding white flour products. At first it was tough, but then we are so used to eating whole grain breads. I am fond of rye & brown rice. Not being much of a fan of wheat is hard. Thank goodness there is options. I've never tired the Zone diet. You'll have to share what you find out and let us know why you think.
