No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
I have been crazy busy and not posting much here lately. My eating has been really good, but since finishing the Ultimate Reset and re-introducing a bit of dairy in my life I have noticed it's not making me feel very good. I have always had daily allergy/sinus/asthma symptoms but while on UR they virtually disappeared! Since adding dairy back in my diet even though it has been very small amounts all of my symptoms are returning. So...I'm going back to vegan for a week to make sure this is for real.
On the exercise front I have been loving my P90X/Combat workouts and just started my official half marathon training. I can see improvements in my shoulders and arms already! I will be ready for those tank tops this year although I probably won't be wearing them much when I move to AK :)
Is anyone else vegan?
Glad you're making sure it isn't a fluke w/the crazy weather. :)
Being vegan is tough--but even if you're mostly vegan and do dairy on occasion (like a scoop of ice cream in the summer-or if dairy is an ingredient in something someone made for dinner at which you're a guest) it's still all good. :)
PS-I'm vegetarian---ovolacto. Being the pure veg was tough because it would mean no ice cream, no butter (or things that butter is an ingredient in), no eggs or things containing them..and worst of all....no chocolate. (or things containing them-and carob as a substitute? Bleckhhhhh!)
I think vegan is the same as 100% vegetarian except that you don't wear or own anything that's fur or leather.
Comment by LindaB on February 6, 2013 at 8:15am In my younger years I was a lacto-vegetarian. (no red meats or pork) I could easily do that again since I tend to still eat that way now. I don't know that I could ever go vegan --- I love my dairy.
my husband & daughter have problems with dairy, but we switched to organic dairy products an all their symptoms went a way....they do have regular ice cream or frozen yorqurt (daughter's) when they crave it without an issue, but if they have it without craving it....symptoms start showing up
I find that eating healthier without limited dairy has helped me. Less processed is key.
Ooops. I meant limited dairy.
Comment by Sue on February 7, 2013 at 8:55pm I don't plan on being too strict with it...just going to see how it goes. There definitely will be times when I have dairy but it won't be too often. I NEVER thought I would feel this way because cheese has always been such a HUGE part of my diet but I guess you just never know, right?
