Gloom! Despair! and Agony on Me!

And I may have severely aged myself. Anyone name that tune? I'm sorry...Name the lyrics?

Hubby officially weighs LESS than I do...is trying on MY clothes! ( relax... We are talking uniform shirts. I'm actually wearing MEN'S shirts to work. Occupational hazard. His made great maternity shirts for me to putt around the station in) I'm really proud of him. Who knew that 48hrs paid vacation and $400 was all it would take to get him in gear? ( He works a 48hr shift )

I had a rotten week, last week. I'll spare the gory details, but WOW. First one since having the baby. I'm hoping that accounted for the awfulness. Otherwise, I may be seeking surgical intervention. Moving on...

Yesterday, we bought a bike trailer/stroller. (aka: The Chariot) If lugging 60lbs worth of offspring, behind your bike isn't a good workout, then I QUIT!  My behind hurts SO bad, I feel like I had another kid! lol. Granted, it HAS been over a year since my tush touched a bike seat. But, I sucked it up, loaded them up and off we went. Not quite as far to day. And I made Mr.204 pull  Lum and Abner for a while. HA!  Now I'm devising a bike seat that incorporates an ice pack, for those tender days.Maybe if I just throw my gel cover in the freezer...?

I've been keeping my food diary going, counting the "old" Points ( it's easier to glance at stats and take a stab at values...and be closer to correct!) The MyFitnessPal is nice. I can keep track when I'm out, it lists the nutritional info and if I need to I can refer to it to calculate Points.

Now, as soon as I can find where the camera went off to, ( I'm sure a certain 4 year old may  be involved. All I have to do is look at the pictures that have been taken), I will get back into my amateur food photographing. I've stumbled across a DELICIOUS red beans, sausage and rice recipe that even Hubby likes. Man Cub isn't a bean fan, but he will eat the you-know-what out of some smoked sausage. And it makes such nice leftovers, I even eat them!

deep dark depression, excessive misery--if it weren't for bad luck....

I worry less about aging myself than highlighting the fact that Hee Haw was on the TV on Saturday nights at my house, LOL!  I have a friend who always planned her dates to pick her up at certain times to make sure her parents weren't watching since the boys were required to come in and talk to them.  Good grief--do parents do THAT anymore?!?!

I hate riding bikes cause it hurts my rear/other nether parts so much.  So, congrats to you on that effort AND to getting your husband riding with you.

Looking forward to the recipe!  I LOVE red beans and rice but I'm lazy and just use Zatarains.  It would be nice to have something as good with what I am sure would be less sodium.  I usually use Turkey Kielbasa grilled up to go with my beans and rice (and hot sauce).  The only bad part is that I always end up gaining on weeks where I have rice even if I do stay under points.  But perhaps it is the fact that I always end up with beer in my diet when I have the rice, hmmmmm--surely not!

@ Keem- NO! I thought I clarified that.. Both of us are part-time firefighter/paramedics at the same fire department. ( thats how we met-another story for another time;) )  I wear a smaller uniform shirt, so he was trying mine on. If you want to get down to brass tacks, I wear MEN's clothing! Ha ha ha. No. he's  not raiding my undies drawer or spiking bras. :D

His full-time job, also as a firefighter/paramedic, at the Air Force Base is the one sponsoring the $400 and vacation time.

Bike riding is one of the best exercises and bless your heart for pulling not one but TWO kids behind. WOW. You're my hero. Keep up that kind of bike riding and you will weight a bunch less than hubby.
