Florida, Here I Come!
Well, it sounds like a great vacation, right? Well, sort of! My Mother (at 82!) is having her hip replaced. She is doing that at her winter home instead of here because frankly, she just can't stand it any more. She has been putting it off for years and I don't really know why. So she is scheduled for the 19th. I am going down on the 17th, and will stay till March 7th. She should be fine by then!
The good news in all this, is that my daughter (the travel nurse) got home Saturday night from her assignment in NYC, and left yesterday for her new one in Florida! She will be less than half an hour from my parents, yay! So I will see her a lot, and stay with her sometimes too. We can hit one of our favorite beaches - Clearwater. We want to go to Sarasota and see the beach there, so that's on the list.
Time to break out the capris and shorts, and say Ba-Bye to the horrible, cold, sub-zero NY temps!

waaaaa........I'm JEALOUS! Not for your mom's hip replacement....but that you'll be somewhere warm! Enjoy the time with both your mom and your daughter! What a wonderful get-away for you! I LOVE Clearwater! Have you eaten at The Hurricane (I think that's what its called). It may be down in St. Pete. If you haven't ....you have to go there!!

Florida is great but cool today but it was dreary yesterday. It should be nice by the 17th, at least the sun is shining today. I'm sure the "cool" down here is nothing compared to NY. Bradenton beach just sourth of Sarasota is my favorite and there's a great pizza place there too call Oma's I think. Fabulous rolls!!! Enjoy yourself. If you like shopping there is a good outlet mall in Ellenton also near Sarasota.

What a way to make lemonade out of a lemon-y situation. You rock! I'll keep my fingers crossed that the surgery goes well.
