Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Today is my weigh in day at Weight Watchers. I was up 1.2lbs. I know that isnt much but I was up last week too!! I was totally on plan this week and last week. I worked out 4 days and didnt eat any activity points or my 49WAP. I talked to my leader and she suggested I try to start eating a little bit more since I'm working out so much. I am so upset about not losing any weight. I know this isnt going to happen over night but I just wish I was making forward progress.

I did WW last year.  If you are working out you NEED to eat at least the weekly points.  You just have to.  Try to eat at least half of them this week.

Also, I would invest in a food scale.  Measure EVERYTHING for a week.  It is a good exercie as a lot of times we are off in our guesses for serving sizes which in the end throws off points /calorie counting.  I got a food scale last spring and was fascinated at how bad I was at estimating sizes.

Oh one other thing (maybe you could post a couple of your food journals)...watch sodium intake.  A lot of peopel on WW use prepared meals for lunches etc...they have VERY high sodium levels which cause you to retain water.

Could be muscle gain.  Are you tracking inches, too?

I also agree w/eating more because if you're below your BMR, your body fights you on the weight loss-I know from experience. :)  Google BMR and you'll know more about what your leader means. :)

I was worried about sodium so I stopped eating the frozen meals and pre-packaged food. These last two weeks everything I've eaten has been freshly prepared. I do own a food scale and try to measure everything. I have been eating more pasta than I usually do so I'm going to cut that out this upcoming week.

I took a RMR test and it said I have a BMR of 2500-3000 and a fast metabolism compared to people my age/weight/height.

I can so relate. I have been really kicking it the last few weeks and to see a gain this week broke my heart. I know it could be many things, but one thing is it was depressing. I know that consistency is key and I just have to keep going. We can do it.
