No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Found this idea for chocolate mint tea on Roni's blog.  I'm a huge tea drinker anyway, but this is a nice way to drink it instead of having a dessert!  Only difference in mine was I used 1 Tbs of Trader Joe's "Midnight Moo" in stead of the "light" syrup that Roni uses.  I much prefer the all natural ingredients even though the sugar content (8.5 mg) and calories are higher (45).  I avoid sugar for the most part, but if this helps me not eat a hot fudge sundae then it's worth it!  I've also just been having the decaf green/mint tea when I'd rather skip the sugar altogether.  I don't want to create a habit!!!

I saw that tea recipe of Roni's a while back and just couldn't bring myself to try it. I'm glad you liked it though. Do you find that when you have a cup of tea at night (even if it's not something with choco like this one) that it just drops your craving for a dessert? I don't usually crave desserts or sweets at night but I've found that when I do a cup of some fancy decaf tea like chamomille really does the trick.

I'm a huge tea drinker!  I have an entire cabinet devoted to my collection!  Haha as I sip a mug full of white tea!   I think that drinking hot tea can take the edge off if you are getting hungry in the evening but don't want to eat because it's late.  The mint chocolate combo is nice it's not too sweet or overly decadent where it would cause me to get carried away with it.  I also like that it has the benefits of green tea too.  Certain things can be trigger foods and chocolate is one I do have to be careful of.  Having a small treat on occasion helps me to feel like I have options and control over treats.  Angie I imagine you have already tried herbal teas which don't actually contain any tea leaves.
