No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Well since sunday i have been doing good. one day over indulged in Flan that my mother in law left here. instead of throwing it away i just thought i might as well eat it all just to get it out of here. Why would I do that? grrr
oh well i did it and moved on. there was a couple days i went for a mile walk. Tuesday my hubby finished radiation treatment!!!! Yeah, thank god that part is over.
I wish i could think of different things to much on, i'm a all day muncher:( there are little things here and there that weren't in my meal plan but still better choices than i used to make.
I do the same thing--certain things just call out to me and I rationalize that if I just consume them, they will no longer be around to nag me.
I started compromising in that situation--like only have SOME-like 1/4 of it, and then put the rest in the trash and step on it so there will be no garbage picking. :P
I can't have junk in the house. Even if someone brings it. If hubby doesn't eat it I toss it. I am too weak to have sugar treats around. Temptation is far too great. I am a muncher too. I choose fruit, raw veggies, rice crackers, pretzels. I try to stay away from salt as it can throw me into a sugar/sweet binge. I have been trying to follow Roni's 5 and one is don't eat it if it comes out of a box or bag. Another words nothing processed. It is a good rule.
Comment by Almost There on July 6, 2012 at 10:00am I'm glad I'm not the only person who hears food calling my name! I too am an all day muncher. I think it is important to realize it and embrace it. That means having healthy non-processed stuff around you AND eating smaller main meals to balance everything out. I also find that it helps to portion things out because even healthy stuff isn't so healthy if you eat too much of it.
