Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

So, after 6 not-that-awesome days I'm down to 134.7. I'm not sure I can count that as a "win" since I seem to go through these weight ups and downs on a daily basis. It most likely depends on how much I've eaten or drunk during the day, and I usually weigh myself in the evening, whereas today I've only had breakfast so far -it's only 12 pm in here, but I haven't blogged since Tuesday and wanted to update asap :)

Anyway, I think I'll take that lonely pound as progress, even if just to force myself to do better this week. If I can get rid of at least another pound, that will make two, and 2 lbs is already something, right? I'm trying to keep positive I can do this, even if I'm just taking baby steps... 

Also, I don't really work out, which is a downside. I go for a short run once a week, but that's about it. I still remember the day I bought my shoes in April and went for my first jog. I did one mile, which took me around 15 minutes and for the most of it I felt I was dying. Seriously, how out of shape can a 24 year old be? THAT out of shape, as it turns out... I can manage around 3 miles in some 40ish minutes these days -I don't really track or time, so I don't know for sure- after which I still look like I was chased by a murder clown with a knife around the neighborhood, but hey, that's progress as well so I'll take it! :D

I think I should also start planning my meals ahead, since I've realized I suck at measuring portions and counting calories. If I go for convenience products I can read the labels and add everything up, sure, but whenever I make my own meals? I'm clueless. Now, this doesn't really concern me a lot, I'm a vegetarian so it will be veggies one way or another, and I only use olive oil for cooking, but still, I think it would be easier if I knew in advance what I'll be eating during the week, specially now that the colder months are coming and salads aren't going to be an option anymore... 

So, I'm taking this as homework, and I'll post my meal plan tomorrow :) Have a nice weekend, everyone!

I'm vegetarian, too.

I think if you have your eating under control, not working out is no biggie. :)

You bet your life one pound counts! Every loss counts. One thing about baby steps is they add up and take you exactly where you want to be.
