No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
One little day of eating right and I'm feeling so much better already. Yes, I am slowly coming out of the food coma that I've been in the last few weeks.
I slept late today and the most I did was run a few errands and then hit up the grocery store. My attempt at being more budget conscious while grocery shopping was a bust. I've got the post-vacation 'Oh shit, tell me we really didn't spend that much!' cringing feeling. I tried SO hard to watch what I bought today at the store - prices, quantity, brands, everything. I mean I had a whole plan laid out of where I would save. For example, bottles of good salad dressings cost about 5-7$ here so I've nixed those. It's much healthier to make your own anyway. Anyway, I don't know where things went wrong but the bill ended up EXACTLY the same as what I always spend. Huh?! How?! I even had less bags and everything! What to do...
Eating was good. It was easy to stay away from all the garbage. Not a surprise after my recent binging! The one thing I didn't do was get to the gym. My body is just exhausted and I think I'm readjusting to the high altitude here. I also thought I might shock my system if I did too much healthy in one day. HA!
I had a great salmon dinner planned and then something happened with our gas line so we had to go with salad.
Late Breakfast: coffee, 1/2 c oatmeal, 3/4 c almond milk, 1 tbsp pb, dark chocolate cocoa powder (yum!) - 400
Snack: fresh mango (~2 cups worth) - 200
Snack #2 - 1/2 c plain yogurt (75), 1 sweet and salty trail mix bar (170)
Lite lunch-ish: ~3/4 c of chicken peeled off bone (no skin) - 200, 1 lite LC wedge - 30
Dinner: big salad full of veggies, 3 crab sticks (no cheese), 2.5 tbsp lite balsamic dressing - 300
Total: ~1400 - a little low but I could do with a little low for a few days! lol
Comment by Angie Y on August 2, 2012 at 12:27am I can relate to the detoxing! I also do that when I have a binge day!! Soon you will back to normal. :)
Comment by Jessica on August 2, 2012 at 6:20am I often feel the same way.
Like if I have a day that I am more careless and eat lots of junk I usually wouldn't (which isn't often) and it feels so fun in the beginning of the day-but by the end of the day I wonder why I did it and I realize that eating healthy makes me feel better physically all around. I start CRAVING the healthy stuff the next day and can't wait to get it. :)
