No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Yesterday was pretty terrible as a whole. I got to work an hour early to get some stuff ready for a meeting, then I had a terrible meeting where the rest of the dept. was very negative about the new expectations for them and I kinda feel like they were overly critical and emotional about it all. Then, after school, I had cheer practice, then I entered in some grades, then I met with another coach, then I worked on sub lesson plans.....and got home after 7pm. That's over 12 hours at work.
Needless to say, I was tired today. But I got up, ran a 5k, went to a training (thus the need for sub plans), got to enjoy the sunshine, and am now home. *Sigh* Today was nice. I ran my fastest 5k time today (I didn't count my warm-up or cool down in the time or the mileage) and it was 36:18. Not terrible. I wish I was faster, but that's something to shoot for in the future. On Saturday (my first 5k race), my goal is just to complete it. :)
Here's the meal plan today:
B: coffee w/creamer; 1 small greek yogurt; 8 almonds; 1 handful pretzels
L: 1 1/2 slices pizza (food chosen by other members of the training)
D: I'm making a sausage and kale pasta dish. I don't know why I even bother. Hubby has just really frustrated me. He complains to me all the time that we are spending a lot of money on groceries (because I don't buy pre-packaged and whatnot) and then he doesn't like some of the meals I make and when I just tried to have a conversation with him about the dinner plans for this week, he blew me off and told me he was bored of the conversation. Then guess what buddy? You don't get to say anything about it anymore! UGH.
Between the conflict at work and the conflict at home, I'm just about ready to crawl into bed and call it a day!
Comment by Cindy on October 16, 2012 at 8:37pm Congratulations on your 5K! Was it like a group race thing? I was just wondering since it's Tuesday. lol
I'm sorry you're dealing with the crap from your department. It's the last thing you need to deal with on top of everything going on!
The sausage and kale pasta sounds whoa oh so delicioso!! I'm with you on the hubby thing. Buy what you want, plan what you want, cook what you want and enjoy it!
Congrats on the 5k!
I understand conflict at work. OMG I am buried in it at work right now. I want to just hand in my notice. I am sorry to hear you have conflict at home too. Here's hoping that things get better soon.
Comment by Jill Mace on October 17, 2012 at 3:48am So glad you still made time for yourself to run! It is good therapy! Sorry about all the stress- especially at home. Maybe hubby was having a bad day too? Hopefully things are better today for you!!!
You may have to make two things for each meal. I usually make 2 or 3 because I'm vegetarian and my daughter is a picky eater. My husband likes stuff like your husband does.
