No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Omg, what a long day at work. As long as I've been teaching I still always have problems sleeping the night before school starts. I wasn't nervous or anything - just thinking about a lot, like everything I have to do that has piled up already at work. That kinda stuff. So, I think I got about 4 good hours of sleep.
I stayed really late at work trying to get caught up. Then I came home to yet another day of no gas. I wasn't so worried about the hot water issue since I was going to they gym anyway. But it's hard to get creative with one electric skillet. Anyway, I threw my gym clothes on and packed my gym bag for a shower and headed over. I was really tense and stressed from the day and the tough cardio workout cured it all....well, almost.
I came home and made frozen turkey burgers. It worked and satisfied me. I'm low on calories but I've decided that I'm not going to force myself to eat if I'm not hungry and since I just barely had dinner I'm gonna try to do a little work and call it a night. Hoping for some good sleep.
btw - Aside from the night where I drank the 2 shots of tequila I've been doing great on the 30 day alcohol free challenge! So I guess I'll call today Day 14 instead of 15. Two weeks. Not bad at all!

Comment by Nubia on August 16, 2012 at 12:45am Awesome! I remember cooking on an electric skillet in college. They weren't allowed so I always ended up with half cooked stuff, I was afraid they would catch me! I'm a good kid. I should join you in the 30 day challenge, no margaritas since August 2nd ;)
Comment by Jill Mace on August 16, 2012 at 3:39am I am sorry that you are behind already with work. You certainly are making lemonade out of your no gas situation! What a pain in the butt though!!! Your menu looks great and what a great calorie burn! Way to go!
When I first read the no gas thing, I thought, "Maybe she took some beano?"
Then I realized you meant no gas power....duh. :P
So when will they get it rolling for you?
Comment by Lynette S on August 16, 2012 at 11:32am Ugh, what a pain to have no gas! Good job on finding a solution!
I'm with you on the no alcohol thing, I vowed after my vacation last week (we got back on the 9th) for no alcohol when I'm alone, only in group scenarios. I almost caved yesterday (jonesing for a glass of wine) but I drank some sparkling water instead. So i'm at 1 week alcohol free! Let's see how long we can take this.
Comment by Almost There on August 16, 2012 at 11:43am Well, on the bright side, I guess not having gas is good incentive to get you to the gym... I used an electric skillet all the time growing up. Maybe it is time to drag out the crockpot too? Toaster oven?
