No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
It is getting close. I will be able to tell folks I completed Insanity! Everyday I get better and better. I don't think it ever gets easier since you can always push yourself to do more. It would take me several more rounds to do what Shaun T and his team do. I am still going to incorporate these DVD's into my routine as they are truly kick butt. I'm still working on a strategy to break this 5 week plateau. I have to get the scale moving again. I thought maybe I should get tested for a thyroid issue, but if that were the case, how did I manage to lose the first 30 pounds? I know I cut calories low and I've struggled with periodic over eating at work. Especially the candy/salt crap. I think that both of these 2 terrible habits led to the weight re-gain and the plateau. I know what I have to do. I am going to follow the 3 rules over at www.eatingrules.com They seem doable and Andrew claims they helped him get healthy. I am hoping they can help me to lose weight.
Don’t eat hydrogenated oils, trans fats, or anything that’s been deep-fried
I suppose getting your thyroid/hormones tested would at least let you know if it is/isn't an issue, right?
Comment by Jill Mace on October 10, 2012 at 4:04am I would still get the test. Then you know what you are dealing with. It won't become an "excuse"- just information. There are other things that having a low functioning thyroid can cause besides weight gain. I would check in to it. I like the rules you listed. I am going to check out that website. Thanks for the link!
And research the names of the tests. I seem to remember something about the thyroid tests like that you need a free t or something like that--it's a test that's more accurate than the basic thyroid test. Google it and find out. Knowledge is power. :)
Comment by Dee on October 10, 2012 at 3:15pm Those are excellent rules. Basically, if we can manage to eat mostly produce and lean protein, we'll get results. It's so hard to say no to pancakes (and such), though. Damn!
