No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
A good day. I kept calories in check and I had a good workout. I still have not warmed up to month 2, but I am giving it a chance. It is definitely working my muscles more. There are more push ups, planks, squats to help build muscle along with some drills that remind me of some kind of boot camp. Only 3 more weeks of this Insanity! Most of my food days have been good. Bob Greene's book said that we must do away with "bad" or "good" . People with this perfectionist attitude are the ones who are most likely to re-gain weight, or to miss goal. I am kind of an all or nothing personality but before if I ate a few "bad" foods it would send me into a week long binge with a promise to start over on Monday. Now when I chose something unhealthy, I make sure the next thing in my mouth is healthy. Start now. I am hoping this week scale is nicer to me. I would really like to see a loss. As for my gratitude journal entries.
1. I am grateful each day allows me to improve on the day before
2. I am grateful my mother is getting stronger and can come home soon.

Comment by Brandy on September 27, 2012 at 9:28pm Yeah, the bad/good thing can lead to spiraling choices for me too. Keep up the hard work with Insanity. It sounds tough!!
Comment by Lynette S on September 27, 2012 at 10:16pm All or nothing doesn't exist, it's all shades of gray!
Comment by Cindy on September 27, 2012 at 11:37pm I'm glad you had a good day. I agree with trying to avoid the 'bad' and 'good' phrases......but I admit that I'm guilty of it.
Comment by Jill Mace on September 28, 2012 at 4:49am I am an all or nothing person too. I agree- it can turn a piece of chocolate into an all out binge! Thank you for reminding me that this is a bad way to think.
I agree about the black-or-white mentality. So right.

Comment by Lynn on September 28, 2012 at 2:37pm Hi Paula. As you know I used to be such an all or nothing girl in the past, but slowly I have come to realize that one bad choice doesn't give me permission to have a bad day, week, or month. It is just a choice that was made and I try to make the next choice better. There's always a next time when it comes to food!
Comment by Dee on September 28, 2012 at 4:04pm I like that perspective about, if you eat an unhealthy food, getting right back to healthy food with the next snack or meal. That is definitely a way to stay focused toward the ultimate goal. I really like your Bob Greene book. What's it called?
Thanks for all the thoughts.
@Dee the Bob book is The Life You Want: Get Motivated, Lose Weight, and Be Happy.
