No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Today is a scheduled day off from Insanity & my body needs it. Did me weekly weigh in and disappointed to see I've gained .5 pound. All that sweating!! I've read that too much training/exercising can lead to weight gain. Bunk? But since starting just 2 weeks ago I have lost 1 pound and I feel stronger. I've made this commitment and I am going to complete 60 days.
Comment by Cindy on September 1, 2012 at 10:39am Wow! I can't believe it has already been two weeks with Insanity. Someone last night told me that they offer it as an adult class after school. Apparently, a lot of the teachers are saying it's tough but well worth the pain.
I'm sorry about the gain. Have you considered taking measurements and using those as a guide in addition to the scale?
Could be retaining fluid. Try teaing it up for a few days and weighing in again. :)
I just hate the way the scale can be such a buzz kill for my moods.
Comment by Brandy on September 2, 2012 at 2:58pm My body takes a while for it to recalibrate and equalize again after I've started working out. Happened the first time with running and happened this time too. But once it did, I lost about 4 lbs all at once. Keep hanging with it!
Comment by Dee on September 3, 2012 at 6:59pm @Paula did you see fitforlife's post about her graph, where she tracks daily and there are times that she gains but the net result is losses? I found that so interesting, because the little up-spikes when we're doing well can be so discouraging that it can lead to lower motivation. Seeing her graph drives home that staying motivated and consistent DOES pay off on the scale in the long run. Just keep doing your foundational moves: your workouts, your cooking, and your new conquering of snacks. You'll get there!
@Dee Yes I did read that and it really made me re-evaluate. I need to look at the month as a whole. I don't think I am sold on weighing in everyday. Don't think I can do it do to the roller coaster being daily vs weekly.
Comment by Lynette S on September 5, 2012 at 11:14am Sorry that you were disappointed in the scale, I feel like it rules my moods as well! I think it will pay off in the long run!
