No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Ok, yesterday was a hard one to journal...too much junk in the diet...but calories were in check
Let's just say it started with a doughnut for lunch (I worked the night before so I sleep from 8am to about noon) but I did shovel for 1 1/2 hours after that,
and ended with an apple pie from McDonalds's (power went out just as I should have been making supper, so had hubby bring something from town on his way home from work, at least they forgot to put fries on the order...even though he did order them)....I expect to feel it today in my energy level
up at 2am so I shoveled the driveway...took about 45 minutes...now I'm here journaling & responding to posts....once kids are off to school....will clean house, get 20 to 40 minutes of treadmill time (have 3 1/2 hour car ride in the late afternoon) & pack....plan to use treadmill at the hotel before I go to bed or maybe a few laps...the long car ride is hard on my legs.
today we leave for Upper Michigan. Staying in a hotel for two nights...so I will have to really think about food choices..plan to bring daily breakfast along...(banana & blueberries) and 100 calorie popcorn snack pack for snacking, along with a gallon of water....will probably stick with Subway (veggie or chix veggie sub)...hit the treadmill & swimming pool for at least 2 hours on Saturday, & small workout on Sunday before we have to drive back....
have a great weekend everyone, don't let the weekend sabatage all your hard work....
Doesn't matter if there's junk as long as you're within your allotment. You won't feel deprived that way--and the healthy stuff will eventually find its way into your diet. I'm sure of it. Oh--and don't underestimate calories burned in SHOVELCIZING--it's a great cardio workout that's good for your whole body! :)
Comment by Cindy on February 17, 2013 at 8:41pm I can only imagine how many calories you burned shoveling all that snow. It sounds like you have a good plan for your unexpected hotel stay. I hope you get power back soon.
