No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
So my first day back wasn't bad. I was happy to see old colleagues and also meet new colleagues. I get excited learning about everyone's background, where they're from, what they teach, where they've traveled, etc. I'm really really going to do everything in my power to stay as positive as possible this year. Really, I am. I mean it!...Stop laughing already! I know all the teachers are out there are like 'Oh yeah, girl, we get it. It's your first day back. Everyone is happy their first day back!' lol
Our welcoming back breakfast was nice and I was able to do well eating with no problem. I passed on all the sweet bread stuff. It didn't appeal at all. I had a few pieces of fruit, a little bit of beans and some scrambled eggs.
The rest of the day was full of meetings as was to be expected and I actually had to sneak out of a meeting at one point to go and eat my snack. Then one of my students from last year came by to visit and I missed my lunch and said 'Screw it.' and ate it at my next meeting.
I came home and am still surprised that I'm just not nearly as tired as I thought I would be so I guess I'll get busy and get some work done!
