Blog to Lose

No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Even though my broken arm prevented me from running, I still walked it.  My group power walked with me.  We had a blast!

My hubby came to watch and he said he was so proud of me for being tenacious and getting out there and walking.  He made me feel so good about it!

See our shirts?  Our team name was the Technicolor Dragons.  The charity for this race was Autism Speaks and we are all teachers in some way.  The shirt was a drawing my friends' student drew of himself with a dragon.  Thus our team name!

Yes, I wore shorts and no I didn't feel too awkward in them.  They were new and they wanted to creep up as I walked but I just decided I didn't care.  :)

I really wanted to run it once I got there; it made me want to start back up with my running routine, all right!  I can't wait until my appt on the 5th so I can get cleared.

Here's the meal plan today:
B: string cheese; orange

Snack: fruit and yogurt parfait

L: Lunch portion of pollo con queso from a mexican restaurant

Snack: frozen yogurt (shared with hubby)

D: honey nut chex w/skim milk

Lunch was pretty heavy, and I had a dessert with it, so a bowl of cereal was all I needed tonight :)

Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!

Wow! That looks like so much FUN and you look GREAT, girl! Congratulations on the race. I'm proud of you for getting out there and power walking it and kudos to your team who stuck with you. Now that's team spirit!  I hope your arm was OK. Sometimes even just the added blood pulsing through your vessels can cause pain sometimes.

I think it is great that you walked when you couldn't run.  It shows that you can make the best of things!  I love that!  Cute pictures!!!!!

How did that color get all over you?

Awesome!  I want to do it!  Did it stain your running shoes?

You look fantastic. You have lost more weight. I have to say I think it is wonderful what you guys did for Autism Speaks! Even with a broken arm! You are one special person Brandy.
