No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!

Today has just gone by too fast.  After getting up, I went to the park with my hubby to do my 3.5 mile run.  It had been raining, but the rain was going to hold off until later in the afternoon, so I figured it would be then or never.  It was humid, about 20 degrees warmer than it was last weekend, and I sucked it up.  I ended up running only 2.2 miles of it before having to stop.  My left knee was feeling not so great (not sure why but I'm going to massage and stretch it today), I felt light-headed, and I just needed to stop.  I took a break about 1.5 miles in, but then tried to keep going.  I had to stop at 2.2 because I was worried my knee would get worse, I would throw up, or worse, get dizzy and fall down.  I don't know if it was the humidity, the fact that I might have been dehydrated, or if the flu shot I got yesterday was kicking my immune system's butt.  UGH.  Never thought I would be mad at myself for only going 2 miles on a run!  LOL

I had to drop my hubby off at the football game so he could watch Mizzou lose in the rain (not my cup of tea), and then I headed out to do some shopping.  I had said I was done shopping for clothes for a while, but then I tried on all my work pants last night to see which ones fit and none of them did.  After shopping in numerous stores, it's official: I am now a size 14, no matter what store I go into.  :)  Exciting stuff.  I only found two pairs of work pants so far, but I'm hoping to slowly add to my closet as the sales start happening around Christmas.

Here's the meal plan today:
B: 1 c. oj, 1 Kind Bar

L: 1/2 chips and salsa, 1/2 bowl of chicken enchilada soup, and 1/2 house salad with about 2 tsp. low-fat ranch dressing (I dipped my fork)

Dinner: 2 slices of greek yogurt cake I had made w/1 c. skim milk; 1 serving tomato soup and 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich (1 slice 35 cal bread with 1 laughing cow toasted on the stove)

Here's the to-do list for tonight since I have the house to myself:
1) Make food for church group tomorrow

2) Make dinner

3) Grade quizzes while watching some silly girly movie on tv

4) Read while taking a nice hot bath

5) Snuggle with the dogs in bed before going to sleep

I work for my weekends, but then I work during the weekends for my week at school....never ending I guess.   Hope everyone had a great day!

sounds like you did great on your run considering the conditions. I think running 2 miles can be considered a success! And congrats on the dropping size in pants! How affirming of your efforts! Your food choices are perfect too!

My knees give me grief when I run, too--so I stopped.

Congrats on the official 14s!!! Excellent!

I hope you got your to-do list done! Some of it (#4,5) sounded heavenly and relaxing!

Sorry about your knee. It could very well be related to the humidity/pressure changes in the air.
